G-Drive Racing – Champion of the European 2017 Le Mans series

The G-Drive Racing Team has defended its championship title in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) for the second year in a row. The European Le Mans Series, organised in six stages, ended on October 22 in the city of Portimao in Portugal.

In the final championship race on the Algarve track, the crew comprising Leo Russell, Memo Rojas and Rio Hirakave covered the remaining distance safety to finish the race in the fourth position. That was enough to maintain first place in the overall ranking, which was secured as early as at the end of the second championship stage. The G-Drive Racing Team earned 12 points more than the second-placed rival. In the individual ranking, the title went to G-Drive Racing drivers: Leo Russell from France and Memo Rojas from Mexico.

Also, the official fuel of the G-Drive Racing Team is G-Drive, a premium Gazprom Neft fuel. The team uses premium fuel during testing, which allows it to check its engine performance in extreme racing conditions and on the most complex car configurations.
On the occasion of the end of the season and the new great success of the team, Roman Rusinov, driver and manager of the G-Drive Racing Team, said:

The team has had a successful season in ELMS, has demonstrated excellent speed and enviable stability. The team of drivers, engineers and mechanics did a great job. We are glad that G-Drive Racing is once again the best in the European Le-Mans Series - one of the major championships in endurance racing. Our team has won its third title in a row - in 2015 we became FIA WEC world champions, and in the next two seasons, we won the European ELMS series. This confirms that we have chosen the right way to triumph.
